Fall is Just Around the Corner!
Although the mercury is rising and beaches and pools are packed, it will be back to school and then Christmastime before you know it! If you haven’t started thinking about your fall marketing plan, you’re behind schedule!
In the world of business, advance preparation is the name of the game. It’s time to look ahead and think about your fall messaging: How will you reel in customers who are coming back to earth after their relaxing and rejuvenating summer holidays? More importantly, how will you set yourself up to ring in the New Year by celebrating a lucrative end of year? Here are a few tips to get going on your fall marketing plan!
Create subjects and time frames for your marketing campaigns. You’ve got four months (September, October, November, December) to cover. Plenty of time for multiple campaigns. Depending on your business, you could go traditional and launch promotions around back-to-school, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas themes. Or, you can go quirky (ie: September is National Yoga Month, October is National Pizza Month, etc.)
Decide which techniques you’ll use for each campaign. For the biggest impact, think outside the box! Marketing is so pervasive consumers tune it out unless it’s unique. Whether you hold a product give-away or special event launch an edgy, viral online marketing blitz, for the best results use a fresh approach for each separate campaign.
Map out your plan and line up your talent. Once you’ve identified when and what your campaigns will be, think about what kinds of help you’ll need. Will you need to line up a printer? Graphic designer? Copywriter? Jingle writer? Once you’ve identified what, when, and who, you’ll be well on your way to ensuring you end the year on a strong note!
